Fuzzing tool discovers over 100 vulnerabilities in popular browsers!

Google-employed security researcher Michal Zalewski has released a fuzzer that can detect vulnerabilities in all browsers by examining how they interact with various elements while rendering web pages. One of the vulnerabilities discovered may be known to third parties apparently located in China. Microsoft is not happy that the tool has been released – in fact, they tried to make him postpone its release indefinitely, he wrote. Microsoft has not provided a compelling explanation as to why these issues could not have been investigated earlier, he said.
