Fujifilm Reportedly Refused to Pay Ransom

Japanese conglomerate Fujifilm was the victim of a ransomware attack earlier this month. The Japanese conglomerate reportedly refused to pay a ransom. The company restored operations using backups, with its computer systems in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa now fully operational. Ransomware attacks accounted for 46% of all cyberattacks between Jan. 1, 2021 and March 31, 2021, an IT management services company says. The number of ransomware attacks each month this year has been higher compared to the corresponding period in 2020.”]
