Federal Trade Commission requires Zoom to implement security program within 60 days. FTC settlement comes after allegations Zoom did not maintain a high level of cybersecurity. Zoom also misled customers concerning the level of encryption provided for meetings. FTC says any future violations could cost Zoom up to $43,280 for each. Zoom agreed to implement end-to-end encryption and security protocols for customer and corporate data as well as deploying industry-standard AES-256 encryption for all data.
