FTC has extended its deadline for making a ruling on whether it will affirm or overturn an “initial decision” last year by a judge to dismiss the FTC’s case against LabMD. LabMD’s allegedly unsecured spreadsheet was discovered in 2008 by Philadelphia-based peer-to-peer security firm Tiversa. The complaint alleges that in two separate incidents, LabMD collectively exposed the personal information of approximately 10,000 consumers.
