Federal agencies launch security investigations of mobile device makers and wireless carriers. Federal Trade Commission issues orders to Apple, Blackberry, Google, HTC America, LG Electronics USA, Microsoft Corp., Motorola Mobility and Samsung Electronics America. FCC says it has sent inquiries to six mobile carriers: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Tracfone.
