Kevin Tuohey is the executive director of operations and safety at Boston University Medical Center. He deals with potential release from research labs of infectious agents such as Francisella tularensis. The most virulent rabbit fever strain, pneumatic tularemia, is capable of airborne transmission. The center was in the process of getting approval to build a new infectious disease research lab on campus.
