A new payment card skimmer is targeting e-commerce checkout pages of dozens of sites, researchers say. The skimmer has been found on a dozen checkout pages supported by content management systems. It’s not clear who is behind this new payment skimmer, but the operators have created an unusual skimmer that can target multiple checkout pages all at once instead of individually. The payment card, however, is harvested and stored by the JavaScript skimmer. The malware will automatically create specific domains that will store the encrypted data using Base64 encoding to then exfiltrate the data later.”]
