Fredrick Brown, a former U.S. Army civilian medical records administrator, admitted to taking part in a fraud scheme that victimized thousands and allowed the fraudsters to steal millions from elderly and disabled veterans. Brown stole personal identifying information (PII) of thousands of military members while working at the 65th Medical Brigade, Yongsan Garrison, South Korea. Brown is in federal custody awaiting sentencing on February 6, 2020, and faces up to 20 years in federal prison for each of his conspiracy charges. Brown was one of five fraudsters that were charged with coordinating an identify-theft and fraud scheme targeting “service members”””
