A Belgian security researcher has unearthed a clutch of new Wi-Fi bugs, called FragAttacks. The name is short for fragmentation and aggregation attacks Three of the bugs date back to 1997, and several are caused by programming mistakes. The bugs can be abused to inject malicious code into a protected network frame, or steal user data. Attackers need to be in radio range, and adversaries need direct interaction with a user to exploit the flaws. But experts say it s unlikely that the exploitation of these flaws will be successful in the wild.
