Payment card data stolen last year when hackers compromised online stores that were using the Volusion checkout platform is now surfacing on dark web sites and forums. Fraudsters apparently generated about $1.6 million from the sale of stolen data so far, Gemini Advisory says. About 98 percent of the payment card data offered for sale came from U.S. customers, the report says.
