Feds Admit Not Doing Enough in ID Theft

An internal review has found that the Justice Department has not done enough to fight identity theft, the fastest-growing crime in the country. Inspector General Glenn Fine says in a report that the department is falling short in efforts to combat identity theft. Over 500,000 leaked credentials tied to the top two dozen leading gaming companies are for sale online. Research shows that microphones on digital assistants are sensitive enough to record what someone is typing on a smartphone to steal PINs and other sensitive info. Read the full article.
