Facebook removed 137 Facebook and Instagram accounts, Pages and Groups for engaging in coordinated inauthentic behavior as part of a domestic-focused network in the UK. The UK misinformation campaign used 23 Facebook pages, 74 Facebook accounts, 5 Facebook groups, and 35 Instagram accounts that had over 180,000 followers. Facebook also discovered a similar campaign based out of Romania that was using a combination of fake accounts and authentic accounts to create posts that support the Social Democratic Party. While both campaigns operated domestically and utilized similar tactics, Facebook has not found anything to link the two groups together.
