Ex-NSA Contractor Harold Martin Hit With 9-Year Sentence

Harold Martin III pleads guilty to stealing classified material from NSA, CIA, U.S. Cyber Command and other defense agencies. Martin, 54, worked as a contractor for seven government agencies for 20 years. The Navy veteran was sentenced to serve nine years in prison on Friday. The case against Martin began several years after Edward Snowden’s 2013 leaks. Officials have not tied Martin to Snowden or WikiLeaks or the mysterious group behind the “Vault7″ leaks. Some analysts have speculated that some of the stolen NSA and CIA material may have been passed to the Shadow Brokers.”]
