Former CIA and NSA Director Michael Hayden was giving interviews to journalists on a train last week. Tom Matzzie, who overheard Hayden, tweeted what he heard until someone monitoring Twitter sounded the red alert to Hayden. Hayden later said he “dismissed the tweets as a ‘[bull—-] story from a liberal activist sitting two seats from me on the train hearing intermittent snatches of conversation'” Hayden later told the Washington Post that the tweets “got it terribly wrong” and then Hayden dismissed them as “bull—-“”]
