Encryption Vendor Offers No-Breach Guarantee

Encryption software vendor BitArmor is offering customers a refund if their data is compromised in a breach. The company says it’s not claiming its encryption software is unbreakable. Experts say this type of offer could eventually become the norm for security products. “We’re the first encryption vendor to guarantee the security of the encryption solution,” CEO Patrick McGregor Ph.D. says. So far, none of BitArmor’s customers have experienced an attack that cracked its product’s security controls, he says.”]
