EMV, Chip & PIN, Contactless Payments

Richard Oliver is the director of the Retail Payments Risk Forum. He is the first U.S. banking industry executive to publicly declare his support for a move to EMV. Oliver: Increasing incidents of payments card fraud in the United States will push the banking industry away from the mag stripe and toward the more secure chip and PIN standard, which is rapidly being adopted throughout the world. Oliver is a 37-year Fed Reserve veteran and has been with the Bank of Atlanta since 1973. He says EMV-compliant countries are pushing for EMV, chip & PIN payments.”]
