Emotet Malware Returns to Work After Holiday Break

Emotet, aka Feodo, aka Chanitor and Tordal, and Trickbot, are among the most active malware campaigns in the world. Malware is being distributed in two ways: via spam and via emails with malicious Word documents with malicious links to download and execute malware. The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team warned in July 2018: “Emotet continues to be one of the most costly and destructive malware affecting [state, local, tribal, and territorial] governments””]
