Doxing, trolling and grossly offensive communications now illegal in the U.K.

The U.K.s Crown Prosecution Service has published new social media guidelines to help prosecutors determine which online actions are illegal. The guidelines take aim at doxing, inciting virtual mobbing and encouraging others to participate in online harassment. There are four categories of offense types for prosecuting cases involving communications sent via social media. The CPS director of public prosecutions said prosecutors cant use the guidelines to stifle free speech The guidelines are published to observe Hate Crime Awareness Week.”]
