Dixons Carphone: 10 Million Records Exposed in 2017 Breach

European electronics giant Dixons Carphone says its investigation into a July 2017 data breach has found that the incident was worse than it initially believed. At the time, it said that 5.9 million payment cards may have been accessed, of which 5.8 million had chip-and-PIN protection. Now, however, it says 10 million such records were exposed, 10 times the number it previously reported. The U.K.’s National Crime Agency is leading the law enforcement response to the breach.”]
