DDoS: New Attacks Against Banks

Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase’s websites were up and running midday Jan. 29. The European Cyber Army claims to have targeted the U.S. banking institutions without warning. DDoS-tracking sources say they have linked the Jan. 28 attacks to the same botnet as earlier DDoS strikes. The attacks used an old SQL injection vulnerability to install “backdoors” that ran “backdoor” code, says PhishLabs’ John LaCour. The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center would not comment.”]
