Data Privacy After Brexit: Keep Calm and GDPR On

UK seeking to give businesses a say on how some provisions of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation get enacted. Lawmakers have promised to give a say to businesses on the shape of the country’s future data privacy laws. The UK government has also called for views on exemptions – some exemptions – in how it must apply certain provisions. Under the EU, EU countries can impose fines of up to 4 percent of a company’s global annual profits, or 20 million ($21.3 million) – whichever is higher.”]
