DARPA has announced a competition to build a “fully automated cyber defense system” The agency wants a system that can deflect cyberattacks in a matter of hours or even seconds. The “Cyber Grand Challenge” will take place over the next three years. It’s modeled after a self-driving car competition in 2004 that went on to build Google’s robotic car.
