Hundreds of malicious apps have been installed on more than 100 million Android devices. Zimperium has removed 470 of the malicious apps from the Google Play Store. The apps are still available in third-party app stores. The campaign was first detected back in March of 2020 and ran through last November, the report said. The malware is spread over a wide range of countries, including Egypt, Finland, Pakistan and Sweden. It is believed to be the work of a new group of hackers who are targeting people in those countries.”]
