International Telecommunication Union (ITU) published an document about the Cyberwellness profile of Antigua and Barbuda”. Here’s a quick summary just for you.
The purpose of this document is to list important elements of cyber wellness and show which categories Antigua and Barbuda have implemented.
With the different cyber wellness categories Antigua and Barbuda have only resources for the following:
- Legal measures- with criminal legislation and regulation & compliance measures put in place.
- Organizational measures- having created policies and responsible agencies to guide cybersecurity. However, some requirements in this area are still unmet.
- Capacity-building- work has only been done on manpower development.
- Cooperation- with the only country joining one international Cooperation.
- Child online protection – significant work was done in this area, including legislations and protocols but none in institutional support and reporting mechanisms.
It is also important to notice that the country didn’t implement any technical measures. This includes no CIRT’s, set standards, or framework for certifications.
