Cybersecurity Workforce Shortage Diminishes

The (ISC)2 2020 Cybersecurity Workforce Study shows that 3.5 million individuals now work in the field, up 25% from last year. The study also indicates a decrease in the global workforce shortage, now down to 3.12 million from the 4.07 million shortage reported last year – as demand for security pros declined while the workforce grew. Cloud computing security is the most in-demand skill set, according to the study. Cybersecurity needs to grow by approximately 41% in the U.S. and 89% worldwide in order to fill the talent gap.”]
