Tom Ridge, the first Homeland Security secretary, sees the role of the Department of Homeland Security as a focal point for collaboration among the various agencies on cybersecurity. Ridge says the biggest challenge exists with how DHS can work with private industry in order to advance security needs of both the public and private sector.
