Cybersecurity Faces 1.8 Million Worker Shortfall By 2022

A new (ISC)2 survey finds the number of unfilled cybersecurity jobs will rise to 1.8 million over the next five years. Cybersecurity Ventures is also predicting a much more dire staffing shortfall, with the industry facing a shortage of 3.5 million workers by 2021. North America topped the list of regions with the most understaffed IT departments, with 68% feeling the pressure. Ransomware loomed largest on the minds of survey respondents in Latin America and 28% in Europe.”]
