Cybersecurity Bill Introduced in House

The bill would strengthen cybersecurity of the nation’s 16 critical infrastructure sectors and the federal government. It would codify, strengthen and provide oversight of the mission of the Department of Homeland Security. Sponsors say the bill would bolster the partnership between industry and government to jointly raise the bar on cybersecurity. The measure, which is budget neutral, also would prohibit new regulatory authority at DHS. The bill is bipartisan, says Rep. Patrick Meehan, R-Pa., who chairs the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies Subcommittee.”]
