Cybersecurity alliance promoting intel-sharing seeks to expand

The Cyber Threat Alliance is expanding to become a not-for-profit. The alliance has also added two new founding members, security firm Check Point and Cisco Systems. Intel Security was able to quickly spot a critical infrastructure attack against a customer by using data that came from another alliance member. A former White House cybersecurity coordinator will be its new leader, Michael Daniel, a neutral party to lead the group. Alliance members are hopeful other security vendors will join the alliance, which includes Fortinet, Intel Security, Palo Alto Networks.”]
