In commemoration of Cyber Security Awareness Month, Jamaica’s Ministry of Science and Technology employing the aid of the Cyber Incident Response Team (JA- CIRT) staged a Cyber Safety roadshow in Montego Bay.

- The show was the ministry’s attempt in trying to spread cybersecurity awareness in a more conducive was to the public.
- Communications Specialist in the Ministry, Patrice Gilpin referred to their approach becoming more dynamic to reach the audience.
- Gilpin exclaimed, “The roadshows are a great way of meeting people where they are, speaking in their language and sharing best practices on how to safely use technology. As a Ministry, we facilitate connectivity, and we encourage the wise use of the online connection. These shows will bring that message to life through drama, song, and dance.”
- Moniphia Hewling, head of the Jamaica Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) had designated the capital of St. James (Montego Bay), a prime tourist spot and booming with economic activity. As the perfect location to magnify the message of cyber awareness in Jamaica.
