Thieves used a tunnel to steal cash from an ATM in Salford, UK. The thieves made off with a “significant amount of cash,” and are yet to be caught. The tunnel may have taken months to dig because of the amount of planning involved and complex nature of the tunnel structure. It worked, though: the thieves are still on the run, and they have not been caught by the police. They are believed to have stolen a “substantial sum of money” from the ATM in the tunnel.”]
