Metropolitan State College employee’s laptop was stolen from employee’s home late last month. Employee was using the data to write a grant proposal and write a master’s thesis, college says. Data appears to have been unencrypted, and college is reviewing policies regarding unencrypted information. Denver police asked the school to wait until March 1 to go public with news of the theft to help with investigation.
