Cisco Patches Critical ‘Default Password’ Bug

Vulnerability allows adversaries to access monitoring system used for gathering info on operating systems and hardware. The vulnerability is rated critical, with a CVSS rating of 9.8.8. A Cisco Common Service Platform Collector (CSPC) tool is used extensively by Cisco service offerings such as Smart Net Total Care (SmartNet), Partner Support Service (PSS) and Business Critical Services. Cisco also alerted customers to two high-rated vulnerabilities. One is related to the Cisco Email Security Appliances (CVE-2018-15460) and the Cisco Small Business SPA514G IP Phones.
