Three new reports detail new Chinese hacking operations in the past two weeks. Chinese hackers have become more careful and strategic at choosing the targets they go after. The term APT (advanced persistent threat) is now used to describe hacker groups believed to be operating at orders and under the protection of local governments. The US-China pact and a series of military reforms had visibly slowed down’s China’s cyber-espionage operations. The pact effectively limited nation-state hacking between the two countries to intelligence gathering operations.
