Cisco Systems IronPort group ranks the nation 18th on its list of spam-producing countries, according to this piece from the IDG News Service. Sophos ranks China 20th when it comes to spam today, a far cry from January of 2009, when it was third on the list. The United States still takes the spam crown though, retaining its status as the top-spamming country and the origin of a fifth of the world s spam, says Sophos.
