Chaos Communications Congress (CCC) is an annual gathering for hackers sponsored by the Chaos Computer Club. First held in 1984, CCC now draws thousands of hackers, intellectuals, academics and Utopians to snowy Berlin in late December for lectures and workshops on issues related to computer security and privacy. CCC is a must-attend event. Somewhere between DEFCON, Burning Man and a lecture at Harvard s Berkman Center, the event is one of the world’s most prestigious security conferences.
