Can pseudonyms be friendly and authentic?

Facebook’s effort to crack down on pseudonyms affected a lot of people with alternate or unusual names. The idea of forcing trolls out of anonymity makes a certain amount of sense, but what one person might call anonymity another might simply call privacy. There are plenty of other situations in which it would be problematic or even dangerous to have a persons legal name associated in any way with their Facebook page, including survivors of abuse, stalking, and harassment.”]
