Microsoft has officially announced that on September 1st, 2018 Skype Classic (version 7.0) will no longer work. The program that we have all come to love and use on a daily basis is now going to be taken out to the pasture, while we will be forced to use Skype 8.0. Microsoft: “We are encouraging everyone to upgrade now to avoid any inconvenience”” The new version of Skype will replace Skype Classic
