British Spy Agency Is Behind Belgacom Hack, Snowden Leaks Show

Documents leaked by Edward Snowden show that the GCHQ is responsible for the attack on Belgacom, Belgiums largest telecommunications company. Investigators have determined that the goal of the attack wasnt to sabotage the organization, but to gather intelligence. The GCHQ was running an operation called Operation Socialist. The goal was to harvest information on the company’s infrastructure and to enable better exploitation of the company, Der Spiegel reports. The British spy agency is believed to be behind the attack.”]
