British Hacking Suspect Avoids Extradition

British man accused of hacking U.S. government computers has won his legal bid to quash a U.K. extradition request. Lauri Love, 33, faced a maximum prison sentence of 99 years if he was extradited to stand charges in the United States and found guilty of all charges against him. Love’s case has parallels with that of Gary McKinnon, who has Asperger Syndrome and “suffers from depressive illness,” a UK charity says. Love hopes his case will set a “precedent so this will not happen to people in the future””]
