BK Hack Triggers Twitter Password Smackdown

Burger King account takeover turned out to be nothing more than a bit of online lulz. Jeep account hijacked by hackers, MTV and BET claim they too had been hacked. Twitter’s director of information security issues a “friendly reminder” about password security. Twitter says it doesn’t have specific plans to offer two-factor authentication to users. The social network’s own information security model is not strong enough to secure corporate accounts, an analyst says.
