Bill Would Boost Breach Disclosure Rules

State Sen. Joe Simitian co-author of California data-breach notification law says new bill would standardize notification process. Simitan says he hopes that California Gov. The law is credited with inspiring similar legislation in 43 other states, including California, where the initial law was passed in 2003.”]
