Jerry Silva, an analyst with the advisory firm International Data Corp., says too often, organizations are spending too much money on data they cannot put to good use. Silva oversees the global retail banking practice at IDC. While Silva sees value in big data, he says banks and other organizations must be cautious. Silva: “Whatever investments they’re making [have to be] absolutely strategic” He says call centers are easy targets for fraudsters; banks should be making strategic investments to address risks.”]
