Biden Promises Retaliation Unless Putin Stops Cyberattacks

U.S. President Joe Biden told Russian President Vladimir Putin that if Russia continues to launch cyberattacks, it will face retaliation. Biden: “If, in fact, they violate these basic norms, we will respond in a cyber way” Putin dismissed allegations that Russia or Russian-based malicious actors are responsible for cyberattacks. Biden presented Putin with a list of 16 “specific entities,” such as the energy sector and water systems, off-limits to cyberattacks.
