U.K.’s Information Commissioners Office confirms Barclays probe into bank’s use of employee monitoring tools. Barclays is the third largest bank in Britain, after HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group. Such tools can offer more “Big Brother” types of capabilities, including logging keystrokes and recording email, chat discussions and social media posts. The bank could face a maximum fine of 21.6 billion ($28.1 billion) under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, which can levy fines of up to 4% of an organization’s annual revenue.”]
