Banks Start Broad Use of Blockchain, as JP Morgan, IBM Lead Way

IBM, J.P. Morgan, Bank of Canada, Payments Canada and TMX Group Ltd are testing the use of blockchain for automating securities settlement. IBM announced its own payment network solutions built on the distributed ledger technology that underpins cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is rapidly going mainstream.
