Audits: Systems Used to Track US Debt Vulnerable

GAO auditors find flaws in IT systems used by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to track the nation’s debt. The flaws include issues with configuration management and faulty access controls. The Treasury Department relies on IT systems at various agencies, including the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and the Federal Reserve Banks.
