ATM Skimming Spree Nets $200K

A skimming scam in Long Island, N.Y., netted thieves more than $200,000 from ATMs at five Bank of America branches. The latest in a series of ATM skimming attacks across the U.S. The bank is reimbursing customers affected by the breach. The bank says it continuously evaluates which ATM security methods are most effective. Experts say the problem with most skimming incidents is outdated technology and lack of oversight of ATMs is to be addressed by banks.”]
