ARM Acquires Internet Of Things Startup Sensinode To Move Beyond Tablets And Phones

Cambridge, UK-based chip maker ARM acquires Finland-based startup Sensinode Oy. ARM says it will continue to develop for more connected devices. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ARM has been linked to Windows and Apple devices, including the Surface 2 and Nokias first Windows tablet, as well as upcoming iPhone handsets. The move is not a new one, but it is a bolt-on move to focus on the internet-of-the-things market.”]
