Apple Offers To Replace Faulty Drives

Apple says a “very small percentage” of hard drives in MacBooks sold between May 2006 and December 2007 could fail under certain conditions. Apple did not describe the conditions that could lead to hard-drive failure. Affected MacBooks are 13-inch models with processor speeds of 1.83 GHz, 2 GHz or 2.16 GHz. MacBooks with the flawed drives will show a flashing question mark on the screen when the computer is turned on. Apple announced the repair program Monday on its support site.”]
